「折扇」App上线以来，已被App Store多次推荐
寫在前面的話：
「折扇」App經歷一年有餘的設計開發，從風一樣的飄渺思維到如今App Store的首頁推薦，團隊經歷了數不清的挫敗與成長，彼此之間的磨合是我們一路的荊棘，也是路上最大的支撐。能夠得此呈現，要感謝一路幫助過我們的人，也想感謝團隊裡堅持下來的所有人。
以下，折扇負責人徐鴻淼從四個部分出發復盤了整個項目，反思自身進步與不足的同時希望能夠讓看見的你瞭解一些背後的故事，更希望能為相應的開發設計同行們提供一些經驗和思路。我們總想著，中國的設計，還可以更好呢。一起啊。

「折扇」App是tagDesign繼榫卯上線後，在數字領域探索傳統工藝展現形式另一個新作品。希望通過製造一座移動的折扇博物館，以簡單的瀏覽方式、遊戲性的探索，使用戶能夠利用碎片化的時間瞭解一門中國傳統工藝。
在閱讀這篇關於一個傳統文化App是如何推敲出來的設計日誌中，我們可以一直保持三個疑問：
-如何正本清源的讓用戶得到最準確的知識？
-如何打破App市場同質化？
-如何達到國際標準的「好」？
時至今日，折扇不免同其他傳統民藝一樣，落入各種俗套的使用場景。我們通常是以扇子舞、旅遊紀念品、檀香扇等形式，瞭解這個沒有被經營得很好的「中華文化符號」的。
如何為傳統工藝正本清源，讓他們以本應有的優美姿態展現給現代用戶，是tagDesign做這件事情的熱情所在。
「折扇」App的初始靈感緣起於tagDesign創始人孫勇，這個有繪畫情節的創業公司文藝CEO在2007-2014年創作的一些扇面繪畫。（右上圖為孫勇向蘋果CEO Tim Cook展示他畫的Bob Dylan）
於是，我在2014年加入tagDesign後，著手其他設計案例的同時，開始接觸折扇工藝和傳統繪畫的欣賞。
圖一是現任光明扇廠廠長褚德政，為我介紹扇面的製作。
圖二老人為光明扇廠第一代廠長，現任廠長的父親，他在蘇州扇廠學習了多年制扇工藝，改革開放後回到安吉開設了光明扇廠。一邊做著低廉的折扇，同時也接收文玩市場的高端文人扇訂單。
圖三是正在工作的製扇工人，他們都是村民和親屬。扇廠為當地人帶來了養家的收入。
安吉縣因自身的環境優勢，生長著大量毛竹，現在已經是中國最大的竹製品加工生產地，同時也是最大的折扇生產製作地。
我們在實地考察多家扇廠後，選擇了彰吳鎮的光明扇廠進行深入調研。
考察中我們瞭解到，文革對傳統手工藝的摧殘是非常嚴重的。導致當時很多小作坊無法繼續謀生。直到改革開放初期，市場經濟的發展重新促進了傳統手工藝商業化的步伐。
但又因為市場逐利導致折扇的發展變得過於低廉粗放，使得近年來大家經常提及的「工匠精神」的產品成為一個在大眾市場中難以看到的虛幻形容。
制扇工廠為製作更多利潤，主要的盈利點在製作粗糙的大路貨。這些商品以很廉價的方式流入主流市場。而精品文人扇則只躲在文玩市場和藏家圈子中。
於兩者之間，tagDesign所暢想的是讓大眾接觸到真正的折扇手藝。用折扇三維設計師徐飛的話描述，再合適不過：
「這個美好的時代，傳統與現代的鴻溝會被數字化和互聯網填平，一小部分人的優越感會被挑戰，正因如此，文化才會越走越遠，她屬於整個民族而不是你我。」
2016年7月折扇項目成立。
立項後的第一時間，我們尋找所有能夠蒐集到的與折扇有關的書籍。站在傳播者的角度看來，對於專業知識的精准理解是非常重要的。
所有參考書目
翻閱書籍時，沈從文老師的一句話給我留下了深刻印象：「一般人對於某種專門事業，無具體瞭解難說創造；無較深認識，決不能產生奇跡。不但嚴謹的科學是這樣，便是看來自由方便的藝術，其實也是這樣。」
自此，「折扇」項目開啓了第一個版本。
無論是商業項目，還是自己產品，用卡片製作產品原型都是我們最常用的設計方式。這種形式直觀也容易調整：將所有版塊全部羅列在桌子上，結構和問題會很地充分暴露出來，供團隊討論。

APP設計初期結構分為4部分：
「欣賞」展示當代藝術家的新穎扇面；
「形制」講解文人扇的製作標準；
「工藝」幫助用戶從頭到尾瞭解折扇的製作；
「歷史」利用長卷的形式來展示扇子的進化。
形制與歷史
工藝為一個可交互的場景
為了講製作步驟更詳細的展示出來，我們將所有工具插圖畫出來
為了確保「折扇」App傳達知識的「正宗」。在聽聞王健是蘇州制扇大師之後，團隊硬著頭皮照著網上搜索到的聯繫方式和住所，冒昧直奔而去。好在獲得了王健老師的理解與全力支持。

同时，因为tagDesign中加入了3D设计师，帮助产品拓宽了更多的可能性。过程中我们便可以把二维的图片，都替换成有更多细节的三维模型。使得最后的呈现效果更加生动有趣。
運用到的三維模型的製作工具有：Cinema 4D : 整合三維工作流程、模型動畫製作；unfold 3d: uv的拆解排列；Substance 套件（Designer/Painter）：紋理製作；ZBrush：部分精細模型的雕刻；Marmoset Toolbag : 法線貼圖烘焙；Octane Render : 光照效果的烘焙
扇頭是扇骨最有特色的部分，命名是非常擬物化的。因此我們在介紹扇頭時加入了與名字相對應的交互。（如圖中和尚頭，下面就是一個可以和用戶交互的小和尚。）
所有的模型和竹林都用3D完成，通過對扇骨的介紹來展示不同的竹材。
扇面則主要從微觀的細節入手，展現素扇面、金箔扇面、色扇面的不同質感。
三維設計師徐飛通過顯微鏡觀察宣紙和金箔的微觀結構。
工藝板塊同樣進行了三維化的嘗試，併發現沙盤式的模型，即使做的漂亮也並不能很好的講明白工藝。
因此在最終呈現的版本中，我們將工藝部分設置為模擬攝像機，可以直接觀察每一步的製作場景。
「折扇」App，菜单界面一览
基于传统文化与现代用户之间的时代差异，我们想呈现给用户的并不是一本电子书或一个PPT式的App。为了使产品更饱满，不断的推演思维导图和修改“分镜”是必做的功课。下面这个部分会展示整个设计开发的蜕变过程。
「菜單部分」

我希望這些具象的「ICON」的傳遞出更為前沿，不落俗套的印象。
原始的菜單採用傳統的icon來展示各個板塊，這些圖案並不醜陋，但當我們開始嘗試使用三維模型來代替傳統icon就會希望把菜單變得更有趣味。於是欣賞演變成半展開的折扇，形製成一個有各式造型的扇匣，工藝是烤竹骨的爐子，歷史是被拼接起來的碎陶片，扇坊則是個賣貨郎的背簍。
「形制部分」
当用户在手机中观察金箔时，晃动手机会发现光源会在金箔纸上游走。
在形制板塊中我們希望能最大限度地利用設備的技能，展示真實的扇子造型、材質。
扇面製作時，3D設計師用顯微鏡仔細觀察宣紙的材質、王健老師珍貴的泥金灑金扇面，模擬金箔的質感
扇骨的材質是非常多變的，於是我們做了精美的貼圖力求保持真實。
如果用戶喜歡探索設備，將會發現我們埋下了很多小想法，扇骨每次展開的角度都是不一樣的，這會展示出扇骨螺旋秩序的不同美感。竹林最後的場景中會有群鳥飛過，像是被遊人打攪一樣。
最終挑選的十種最具代表性的扇頭形制，製作出可以展開仔細觀看的精美模型。
UNITY是实现此次交互主要的开发引擎，同样也是当前板块的主流工具，工程师和设计师都可以使用。
我們在原有的，以觀看製作動畫為主的工藝板塊中增加了更多交互，使用戶能夠通過親自操作體驗一把折扇的製作流程。但因為工藝是整個流程中一個比較重交互的部分，甚至可以將其視為一個遊戲板塊。所以我們增強了遊戲性，加入了一個獎勵機制，將根據用戶操作的嫻熟程度授予不同稱號。
當然，這裡也有彩蛋等待著每個熱愛探索的人。

「歷史部分」
歷史板塊精緻插圖匯總，所有圖片均為設計師的毛筆手繪
細心的用戶會發現，歷史板塊的場景並不是一個簡單的二維空間。因為我們使用Hand-Drawn Shader 在Unity里為構建空間的模型做了一個線描效果。在閱覽歷史部分保持風格統一的時候，又有新的變化。
「其他部分設計」
有關傳統文化的App，UI多為既有的簡單圖形樣式。
筆者在製作「折扇」的UI時，希望他們傳遞的氣質能和整個App形成統一的呼應。
於是將漢堡菜單「三」採用了這個符號在八卦中稱作巽（音同訊）的符號，代表著和煦的風。聲音按鍵則是一個知了，關閉聲音便是被樹葉遮擋的知了。
像這些埋藏在其中的各種小的想法有很多。雖然產品用起來簡單明瞭是第一位的，但如果能在其中帶來更多人文關懷，是設計師非常在意的。
因為之前並沒有在聲音設計上的既有經驗，於是索性自己摸索的路數來製作：首先列出需要的元素，在用手機、錄音筆、網絡素材製作基本素材後，使用了Adobe Audition來編輯。一些背景竹林聲、鳥聲、流水聲和燒火聲都是在田野調查時錄製的。扇子開合的聲音其實是武打片里截取的:-D
背景音樂使用了在audiojungle購買版權的音樂。
「最終呈現」
以上陳述展示的，是這次「折扇」開發製作中關於用戶體驗的探索、模型與貼圖的製作、開發者所填平的「坑」等等。如有任何疑問與建議，都歡迎通過最下方的聯繫方式與我們交流。

The App's English Introduction
Following after the Folk Art Series [wood joints], tagDesign announces its second App of Folk Art Series called [Folding Fan].
Folding fans have became popular since the Ming Dynasty of China-----during the 15th century. Because of the ancient scholars’ handwriting and painting on their folding fans, these common implements used for refreshing oneself became a new fashion, used for personal use or gifts.
When they found out this shaped gadget is just like a moving picture, they were fascinated to put their favorite poems and paintings on it, combined with the delicate natural materials and ingenious jobs of skilled craftsmen, the fans become a excellent space to express their leisurely mood and show their individuality.
In the scorching summer, holding a folding fan, to fan slowly. Ancient Chinese have extremely developed this little gadget of refreshing. Almost all the famous painters and calligraphers worked on it and some of the works became classics, which may be called “greet beauty in little things”. Because of the beauty of delicate material, artistry, elegant calligraphy and paintings, people were proud of possessing fans with famous works on and handmade by famous craftsmen.
This kind of a fan was seemed as a moving visiting card, a symbol of one’s art taste and status. As time passes, the folding fan in one’s hand could present a unique luster and texture, and this peculiarity made folding fans become a fashionable and requisite stuff.
During the 18th century, when the folding fans spread into Europe, they were once regarded as a symbol of oriental sentiment.
Today, as modern people, we are moved and attracted by the great concentration of traditional artisans, and also their state---“playing for cultivate one’s taste” but finally you create a “world”.
In the past times, the folding fans’s function is refreshing, recording and artistry creation, while why shouldn’t we share it in our time? Then, we can’t wait to make some creation on the folding fans. By writing and painting on this ancient platform, we could record and explain our time, our originality and our talent! Join us! Let’s experience the mood of those traditional artisans and enjoy the fun of a totally new artistic creation together!
The [Folding Fans] application is just like a nice opportunity for everyone today to appreciate the folding fans, inspire our mind of paintings, enjoy the birds’ singing, and you can even pick up some bamboo and make a folding fan by yourself like what ancient people did.
We hope that you can learn more about the folding fan---this interesting gadget---through the modern technology such as internet and mobile devices. We browsed a large amount of documents and ancient books to learn the folding fans’ history and context; we have visited Anji, the “bamboo sea” of China and we were in seek of some scholars and folding fans’ workshops there; we looked for the folding fans artists and painters to ask for their advice; we cooperate with the best illustrators in China so that you can feel the beauty of this artistic gadget vividly. After more than one year’s design and development, we can finally show this application to you now!
In this brilliant age, digitization and technology is like a gateway between modern and tradition, through which we can go and touch beauties.
